Grey Dagger Caterpillar

I spotted several of these attractive caterpillars on an ornamental flowering shrub ( I don't mind if they eat the leaves as it's deciduous and just shedding them anyway) ......I didn't know what they were but hoped they might become something exotic looking, however it seems the moth that they grow into is very drab and grey......how boring........if I was them I don't think I would want to grow up :-/

My laptop is giving me enormous grief the last couple of day......it's in extreme go slow mode again.........I think I might have to examine the piggy bank and see if there are funds for a new one as it's driving me round the twist :-/
