Newcastle Uni

Good news on our sofas! The manufacturer is 'concerned' about the wear on the arms, and will re-cover them. As we'd rather not have the same fabric and risk the same problem again, we need to choose something different. So, today, straight after work, we set off down to Newcastle to do just that. Unfortunately, most of the swatches in the shop are patterned fabric, and rather too flowery for our taste, but the shop may be able to arrange for swatches of plain velvet to be sent out to us...

Whilst in Newcastle we bought a much-needed lampshade for the kitchen, and some jeans, so it wasn't a wasted trip! On the way to and from the car, we passed through part of Newcastle University - some lovely architecture.
