A tipi problem resolved
Our dear friends db and L arrived last night a little after dark, just as it was about to rain. Acting as a friendly local estate agent, I directed them to a plot which looked adequate and we helped them put up their tipi in double quick time before the showers came.
In the cool light of the morning, it turned out the space was smaller than anticipated and I had encouraged them to put up their tent on the doorstep of A's fine bender (i.e. a home comprised of bent branches covered in tarpaulins) which was not so good.
Negotiation ensued and A. generously offered to modify his bender which alleviated the problem. It is unlikely I will choose estate agency as a new career.
It is taking a little while to feel that I have really arrived - still feeling a bit "spaced out". A friend of mine used to say that although we live in the age of the jet plane, the soul travels at the speed of horse and cart. In which case my soul is hovering somewhere over the Atlantic ocean and won't arrive for another day or two. However a warm "sharing circle" round the fire helped...
