Krista and Dan

These two have had such a busy summer working at Thunderbird Show Park that they decided to come over to hang out and relax for a couple of days.  I mentioned yesterday that someone who lights up my life would be coming for a visit.  Krista, our older granddaughter, definitely lights up my life.  I love her to bits and spending time with her is always such a treat for G and me.  She's such a wonderful young woman.  Great that her boyfriend Dan came with her.  He had an accident at work a couple of weeks ago and sliced off part of his index finger (note the bandage) when he caught it between the pole and a metal part of the standard in the jump ring at Thunderbird.  I've seen the photos from the initial injury and it was pretty gruesome.  The wound is still open but is healing slowly.   He's hoping that he won't need a skin graft.

We went for breakfast at Barb's Buns and did a couple of things around town, then went for a walk to see the welcome poles at Xwaaqw'um this afternoon.  They really liked them.  Planned for tomorrow:  sleeping in then a walk in Ruckle Park.
