Far flung

Explored the full coastline from Dornoch round through Wick, John O'Groats, Thurso and finally to Betty Hill where we're staying. Saw so much-with commentary from VickyG who's deeply embedded in the clans around here-we even found her Clan heritage centre.
Saw castles, cliffs, cemeteries where the gravestones all had chess piece style tops, a distillery (Rock Rose Gin this time), the Orkney islands (didn't realise they were so close!), distant mountains and huge beaches.
Arrived at the hotel and after a cup of tea we set off to Invernaver beach (extra) and after some false starts on the first bit of path we found it-fabulous.
Back to the hotel before off to Cote du Nord... http://www.cotedunord.co.uk a restaurant/supper club in someone's home. Delicious! No space for photos (I can only ever upload one extra it seems) but gorgeous....
