Well done

Up early to drive to Loch Lomond for the Great Scottish Swim. Good ride in the car to test it out. Turned out to be a longer ride as I was playing with buttons when we entered the roadworks around Glasgow and went the wrong way. That, along with parking a long way from the event, meant I arrived with 20 minutes to spare. Quick change and then off to the start. Still a bit dehydrated after yesterday’s team building but the swim took care of that. Felt OK and managed to do the mile in just under 36 minutes. This was LR’s first open water mile swim and she was raising money for charity. J swam with her and she managed to get under the hour by 5 minutes, which was her goal. Great achievement. Here they are at the end. Did some food shopping on the way home and then had an early night. All three of us were in bed by 9.30, Kilda even slept through the fireworks at midnight.
