The Grand Depart

The Tour of Britain started from George Square today, passing five minutes from our door on the way out of the city, towards Castle Douglas by the end of the day.

There wasn't much time for photographs, they are fair flying, but here is the head of the peloton.

It was exciting waiting for them to come by and fascinating to see how the police and support teams managed everything.
