We headed up to the castle this afternoon to enjoy the jousting and had a super afternoon.

The falconry display was excellent, I have seen this lady before and she is fascinating to listen to.  I have an included an extra of her from the end of the display when she was sat chatting to her falcon while he finished his reward, both oblivious to all around them.

The jousting included a 'lady' Knight so we had to have a photo with her.  Again, the talk from one of the 'knaves' was interesting, funny and enjoyable.  The jousting itself was probably fixed as Nicky won but good to watch!  We struggled to get clear shots due to the crowds but in the main blip you might be able to make out the helicopter practising in the bay.  The extras include a shot Eldest got of an impact - unfortunately the boy with the big head dominates most of the pictures she took :-(

We ended out visit with the Executioners Gruesome tales - again it was excellent and we all learnt something, despite the gore...

A quick dash home to get turned around for the big 2 to sail - the season is drawing far too rapidly to a close.
