Good weather was forecast so I made a packed lunch and we drove to Arnside. Got there well ahead of the crowds and walked a leisurely 5 miles or so along the shore and back around Arnside Knott. We usually go over the top but cut it short today.

The photo was taken at the very end when we were relaxing on a bench overlooking the viaduct. If you like butterflies there are three in extras, all on a Buddleia while we had a lunch stop by the caravan park.
