Durham Roll......
Today was the last day of W's conference in Durham. She decided to miss the keynote speech in the afternoon and only attend the morning session; it seemed odd that they programmed in a 90 minute lunch break before the final one hour session when most of the attendees wll have had longish journeys to get home. While she attended the morning session I had a wander round the Cathedral area of Durham and a look inside the Cathedral itself, and then drove down to Shildon to have a quick look at the branch of the National Railway Museum sited there. Those of you who are sick of seeing my railway Blips will be pleased to know that while there is a good display of locomotives there, conditions for photography were awful. Lots of highly polished surfaces, plenty of natural light from large windows and skylights and halogen lighting all along the shed roof made for lots of reflections and glare. So my Blip is of a Victorian post box with the Cathedral in the background.
Now home after a long but good journey. It's been a really enjoyable weekend and I'm pleased I could include a Blipmeet with some really nice people.
