Stunning

Woke to a thick haar but as we got to Loch Eriboll it cleared and the views down across the loch were stunning (extra). Found a little cafe at the side of the water and had coffee and a nice chat with the owner who bakes everything himself. On towards Durness but we stopped at Ceannabeinne beach and enjoyed a wander and a jump!
Found the craft village at Balnakeil and had a look around - loved the chocolates at Cocoa Mountain! - before heading for the beach there (extra). Simply stunning - miles of clean sand and beautiful turquoise sea with the tide out. Walked, splashed, read books, marvelled at the sun and took lots of photos. Can't believe our luck with this weather - so warm. Clouds in the distance but we lapped up the blue skies.
Checked in at our B&B then off to a local pub for dinner (great venison, awful bread and butter pudding) before home to chill out and wrestle with photos.
