Romantic Interlude at a Macro Level

These two were having a romantic interlude in a tree right outside my front door. They didn't move much so I'm not sure if they had "done their business" and then got stuck. I got a couple of close pictures and then they flew away (still stuck together).

I'm not sure if these are mosquitos or something else. Anyone know?
