Green Goddess
Quite a few sculptures at Norton Priory - this one is the Celtic Goddess of Springs and Wells, Coventina. I hadn't heard of her either.
The new museum has been open for 3 weeks now, following a major HLF funded redevelopment. It works really well - planting a modern 21st century structure on top of a 12th century one was always going to be a challenge, but I think the contrast works well (see extra).
And the walled garden is still looking fabulous, although now full of fruits. Apples, pears, plums, quince - the national quince collection is held here - and medlar, to name a few. As well as lots of late flowers - see the other extra.
