Tessa at 10 (months)

Today's the day ......................... for an added bonus

The main reason we were up in Moniaive for the weekend was to look after Tessa and Brodie - so that Rob and Anna could get on with work at the new house.  But as it happened, we couldn't have chosen a better time to be in that part of Dumfries and Galloway.

The 'Tour of Britain'  Cycling Race began today with its first stage running between Glasgow and Castle Douglas.  The route passed close to Moniaive and the extra is one of Will's shots of the cyclists as they sped past.

There's an even bigger bonus tomorrow because the second stage is from Carlisle to Kendal.  Yes - those same bikes will be rushing down the Windermere Road, literally a hundred yards from our house!

Needless to say, I'm hoping to be able to bring you further coverage tomorrow ..................
