Ridge Poles

Spent the day at the State Fair.
With all the color, noise, horses, quilts, people watching - with all that, it is the resting cows that I like to look at. The most familiar animals; I milked cows when I was a kid. But I never realized how boney they are. They have big, beautiful, soulful eyes like horses and rabbits, and these cows at the State Fair are as healthy as can be expected (we won't get into how they're treated), but they are so boney.
Oh, they still sell veg-i-matics at the Fair in case you were wondering.
