Lee's Palace
It was a day of chauffeuring... to day camp, to the orthodontist, back to day camp, downtown, pick-up from day camp... so it is appropriate that this was taken from the car (you can even see my pale green car in the reflection in the window).
Our first house in Toronto was near Lee's Palace. It used to be a movie theatre and then became a concert hall for live music in 1985. A lot of Canadian bands got their start here, like the Tragically Hip (who were a couple years ahead of me in highschool in Kingston, incidentally...) and the Barenaked Ladies. I've always liked the colourful mural, painted by Alex Currie.
