New life in Beijing!!

Today, I arrived in Beijing. During the summer, my friend Kat half moaned about me not keeping up with my blip so I thought I'd start again due to my new move.

So the flight was long - very long.

As I was in the toilet in the Beijing airport, I noticed this sign on the door and remembered being told that Chinese women do not always shut (physically shut not just lock) the door when going to the loo...this is the first sign of this weird 'custom'.

In the afternoon I was taken to my new pad -DUPLEX BABY YEAH!!!!! It wasn't quite the downsize I had expected from my flat in Egypt - so good news on that front! Did my first supermarket spree and enjoyed a pot noodle with my chopsticks......Have no idea what the meat in it was...looked like beef on the cover but well...maybe dog looks like beef too :P This is going to be an interesting year!!
