Edinburgh skyline

Another sunny day! This is the view on the way up to the castle. There was whisky liqueur tasting in the castle. Mine was a whisky and honey one but it was too sweet for me. I like my whisky unadulterated:-)
We went to the Scottish National Gallery later, which I really enjoyed. There were a lot of impressionist paintings which I liked. I'm not so keen on the paintings in which dead people, cherubs etc feature. Italian art is too complicated for me. I always think of Canaletto as the forerunner of Lowry, which is probably silly as I don't know anything about art even though my cousin is a member of the RA.
