Hive Beach
This morning was misty so we decided to have a trip to Lyme Regis. After a wander along to the Cobb ( the harbour and breakwater for the town). It was interesting to see the work done to stem coastal erosion.
We then drove to Burton Bradstock and on to Hive Beach. A stop FF in the beach cafe for tea and cake was most welcome. Although we did raise eye brows at the £70 sharing platter of fish.
The honeycomb cliffs were a feature of our walk. Dire warnings of rockfalls were justified as we encountered a huge section of cliff imbedded in the sand.
We had a delightful meal out at the Olive Tree in Bridport. Locally caught fish and cooked to order well worth the accolades it has gained in the Guardian and Times newspapers.
