In the Olympic Stadium

Matthew's perseverance in searching for tickets to atheletics paid off when he acquired some very late in the day from the official French website. So we can now say we were there in the Olympic Stadium for London 2012.

The stadium was immense and the atmosphere fantastic. It was a great experience. No gold medals for GB in this session though. But we did get to see the Usain Bolt receive his gold for the 100m and we saw the 400m final.

We were almost the last ones out of the stadium at the end and got the last lot of fish and chips and a pint before the stalls closed. We ate them on a picnic bench lamest right under The Orbit and got the last Javelin back to St Pancras. Staying at the Alhambra hotel.
