Tourist-less Malacca

Uniqlo has this range of climate appropriate clothing it aptly calls DRY and DRY EX that could just about make dressing up for work in business wear acceptable, so I load up a basket, take it to the counter, push my eyes back into their sockets, reject 75% of the pile and still pay a small fortune. Why must men's clothes cost so much? And why do we have to wear climate inappropriate clothing to work, just because the white man wore pants and shirts and jackets? Sarongs and towels seem just fine to me!
