A hot and smelly day
The Plagues of Egypt were ten calamities that, according to the biblical Book of Exodus, Yahweh inflicted upon Egypt to persuade the Pharaoh to release the ill-treated Israelites from slavery. Pharaoh capitulated after the tenth plague, triggering the Exodus of the Hebrew people.
Methinks that the Pharaoh would have thrown in the towel rather earlier had he suffered a plague of lion's mane jellyfish. The beach was littered with them today and with the temperature reaching 27 degrees the stench was of biblical proportions.
