Extinction
Common Blue, Polyommatus icarus. Nikon D7200 f11 100mm 1/160 ISO 360
Lots of blue butterflies, such as this female Common Blue, and the Brown Argus in the Extras (which is also a blue butterfly - confusing, isn't it?), but no Chalkhill Blues. Two seasons of searching have failed to come up with any sightings. It looks like the only colony of Chalkhill Blues in VC55 has gone extinct.
