Gloxinia

I quickly snapped one of the flowers on this lovely Gloxinia houseplant before giving it to a friend on her birthday with a few other bits and bobs.    Its been a very dull dismal and drizzly day today so have stayed home doing chores.  Had a surprise visit from a friend this afternoon so was good to catch up with her.  The sun put in a very brief appearance this evening before disappearing behind clouds.
