Tiny Tuesday : : Fallen Pollen

The lakes are getting low and full of algae, some toxic, so Ozzie hasn't been swimming for quite awhile. Today we decided to take him to Lake Ralphine where  there is a clear place for him to swim after his sticks. He carried three of them most of the way around the lake making several people we passed smile. He takes his sticks quite seriously.

Dozens of mothers were decanting  their kids into strollers in the parking lot. The shore was covered with sleepy ducks just waking up and doing their morning ablutions. We saw a snowy egret standing in the shallows with a sharp eye out for whatever snowy egrets eat just under the surface of the water. A grebe stood motionless, gaze fixed on something just ahead of him on a rock. Ozzie chased a ground squirrel into its hole in a tree, but as soon as OilMan took Ozzie away, the ground squirrel popped out again, unfazed. I put a picture of him checking to see if the coast was clear in the extras.

Most of the day was spent on trying to get nail polish out of the fluffy white bathroom rug, searching for a copy of my Declaration regarding our former neighbors' child custody trial and talking to the attorney about it. How any kind of fair decision can be reached by a judge when there have been two years worth of delays, postponements and lack of continuity in proceedings is beyond me, especially when children are involved.

I was rather taken with the amount of sunflower pollen being released from an arrangement I made a couple of days ago. It seemed  a good idea to take them all outside and leave them for the bees rather than having all that pollen falling on the living room coffee table. A tiny Tuesday picture before I did that seemed in order.
