Quiet Blipper

By Islandcat

A city day

Left the Island early this morning in the cold and fog. Had some errands to run and then a meeting at Canuck Place Children’s Hospice pictured here. Canuck Place first opened its doors in November 1995, to become North America’s first free-standing children’s hospice. Today it is recognized internationally as a leader in the field of pediatric palliative care. Canuck Place exists to fulfill the vision that the end of life should be lived as fully as the beginning. It is truly a remarkable organization and I looking forward to serving on its Board. A new role for me in the world of non-profits. This lovely old home in Vancouver is the site of much care and compassion for families with children who have life threatening conditions. It is a sunny place in spite the daily challenge the families and staff face. Remarkable. You can read more here. Canuck place
