Big Sky Montana

We were supposed to go to the Grand Teton National Park today. Parts of the park were closed due a fire and another area was closed while they investigate the death of a hiker. So, we spent a lazy day, organizing our stuffed van and driving to Butte, MT for the night. The sky was magnificent and it was easy to understand how Montana got its nickname. But, when the Rockies came into view, I almost started singing that part in "America the Beautiful," - for purple mountain majesties, above the fruited plain! We truly do have a beautiful country.
