Balls (and er bears...)

Flat out today - sorry guys ... Castrating bears.... Didn't stop for photos but thought some of you might wince :)
Let me explain - we would love to let our bears breed in semi wild enclosures and release to the wild - but the harsh reality is Vietnam has no protected forests left AT ALL and we would just be handing bear farmers bears with a ribbon around them. Plus if we castrate the males they are happy to live in a big group which means we can rescue more bears. With a corrupt local official trying to do everything he can to shut us down we are battling to build and grow.... These young males have had to be separated from their female play mates for the last 6 months because we couldn't take the risk of early pregnancies ... Now in a month they can be back together"....
(and for those of you still cringing they get pain meds and so recover really well from this).... So the symbolic balls.........
(And ps there are still thousands of bears trapped in farms in Vietnam so for us to breed more just to fill up rare rescue spaces seems inhumane)
