Tight squeeze
I'm fascinated by the orange and white scissor lift thing in the photo. I was even more fascinated that the guy on the scissor lift didn't shift it, instead guiding the guy in van out of his space with millimeters to spare on either side.
"Na, na, na, heaps of room". I didn't doubt him for a minute.
Back to the scissor lift. It belongs to the construction company transforming the warehouse into our new office space. They use it to access the roof and sometimes to shift stuff from ground level through the upstairs window spaces.
Today the downstairs windows were installed. All went smoothly though we did watch what appeared to be a slip as one window was carried inside.
Tomorrow the scissor lift will be used to install the upstairs windows. It might be a race against the weather. The process will be different. The frames will go in first then the glaziers will put the glass in. Together they're too heavy to be lifted and installed on the second floor, hence the 2 parts.
I'm hoping I might get a ride on the scissor lift. Watch this space ;-)
