Peeling Paint Paradise

If peeling paint is your thing as a photographer, then Symi has lots to offer. The island had it's hayday in the early 20th century, once boasting a population greater than Rhodes. Today the population is around 2,500 so there are many houses and other remains of those glory days left abandonded. I don't believe this boat is that old but the attitude of just leaving stuff where it dies remains today. The many ruins give the island a feel of stepping back in time.
