Tis the Season :

Of beginning to move indoors more and light candles. I found, for me, a rather sweet, night light and incense burner. I used to have a lot of this Portmeiron ' Botanic Gardens pottery in the first house, I bought in the 70's, so it's a return to an old beauty, thats otherwise long gone.
There's a story too to the picture, similarly found and hung onto in the 70's, think paid £1 for it,then in a very tatty frame. There's something about her I love, though couldn't say why. I had it re-framed at last 4 years ago and behold the signature emerged a Picasso !, a print sadly, but it explained to me why the masters line had engaged me so.
The vase for the Rose, you may recognise D (MissMacPic ) : it's a Canadian Maple Syrup bottle, I liked the shape of. The Scarlet flower is Dipladenia Rio, the Dahlia's on my kitchen window sill, past their best, but will give pleasure a couple more days
