Orange balsam

I was on a longer than expected walk with a friend today, wandering along the Otter Valley.  We came across this Orange Balsalm ( Impatiens capensis) growing alongside copious amounts of the pink Himalayan Balsam. It would appear from what I have found out so far, that it is not as invasive as the pink form and was probably introduced from America.

A very warm but misty (sea mist) day through which the sun eventually broke.
