Friend

The children loved playing with some neighbourhood cats today and being given huge, juicy figs from a neighbour's tree.

I got to see my closest K friend for a few hours this afternoon. She's getting ready for her son's wedding next week and showed me the dress she'd made for herself (see extra)- she's so talented. I was thinking on the way home how , when we arrived 6 years ago, I never imagined one of my best friends in the world would be a local lady who speaks a different language and has such a vastly different background from me (she was married at 13 and is already a granny aged 41!). I'm so thankful to God for her. (A long time ago she had a dream about my mum, that they were both looking after me when I was ill and described her perfectly- without having ever seen a photo of her- strange!)
