Brouwerij de Prael III
An airport connection of more than three hours between continents is often a source of dejection. Total Jarvis Bars are easier to find than decent airport bars, and that's saying something. However, when the connecting airport is Schiphol, and the train service is fast and reliable, there's no excuse not to hop into town to visit a microbrewery with service that also fits that description. Brouwerij de Prael's sampling room (not to be mistaken for the gift shop) is a wonderful place for a unique pint of one of their five standard varieties or their seasonal brews. It's also a great place to tie one on when they have a folk singer in on a Sunday (all their brews are named after Duytch folk singers of the 1950s, 60s and 70s).
