The power of the sea

We got up a little late this morning after a strenuous day yesterday.  The HG went down to meet his mates at the centre, while I just pottered around the house.  It is very warm and muggy, not much sun although it did come through occasionally.

After lunch we headed to the coast and had a stroll along the beach.  We stood quite a while just watching the waves which were fascinating, the sea has such amazing power.  There were lots of people walking and lots of dogs having fun in the water (see extra picture)

Then we went to Betsy's to meet a friend who lost her partner a few months ago and has not been around socially.  It was nice to see her and find out how she was coping with her loss and good to see that she has a very positive outlook on things for the future.  Life can be very tough, but her attitude is let's get on with it.
