Looking West

Looking west from my allotment at 7:45pm, the sun set was creating a bright orange strip of light on the horizon. I was there picking courgettes and blackberries and wondering what to do about my developing mole problem. There were eleven new mole hills since Sunday. I think deterrent is the first option - thinking of putting hazel sticks down into the runs but that may just cause it/them to create new runs? Some say put something foul smelling into the runs but I am not sure what.

Now at home the house is being invaded by very large house spiders and moths so I have adopted a policy keeping all the windows and doors shut. The trouble is it is really warm so I suspect I shall have to open the windows and learn to live with the creatures that wish to share my home!

I hope you have all had a good day.
