'First day of our adventure'

Anyone who has been to Venice will know ....it's so beautiful, and to the rare person who told me it's smelly....it's not!

We have had a full on day, walked miles, we decided to explore on our first day. Our Hotel is just around the corner from Piazza San Marco, making it a very convenient landmark for us. It is SO crowded....luckily it quietens down by late afternoon. We have walked to Rialto Bridge, weaving in and out the numerous alleyways, being constantly distracted with the sights. Visited the Museo Correr, described as one of Venice's finest museums and picture gallery collections...

This evening Seafood Risotto with a glass of Prosecco!
We then strolled around enjoying the wonderful musical entertainment in St.Mark's Square.....with another glass of Prosecco! Weather beautiful.

Sorry I'm not commenting this week..I think you will agree, when you first fall in love there are many distractions
