The Red Arrows!!!!
They both look so much better in large.
It was the Jersey International Air Display today and of course we had to and watch it down at St. Aubin's Bay. I didn't realise that it's been going for 62 years and is one of the last free air displays in Europe. The schools are all closed over here today, but I remember when I was much younger and we didn't have the day off but would watch the planes flying over St. Helier during afternoon break-time.
It was very busy down on the front, in fact the traffic was so bad that we parked at Bel Royal School and walked to Millbrook. We found a good sheltered spot by the loos and watched the display for just under 4 hours. It was great fun and very noisy at times, with the Red Arrows doing everyone proud with their thrilling acrobatics. Actually the French Air force were very good too, we reckon they've been taking tips from the Red Arrows as we're pretty sure they didn't used to be so good. The extra shows a French jet flying over Elizabeth Castle which was the backdrop for the whole display. I took over 500 photos and have put the best over into an album on Flickr if you fancy a mooch.
