Cattle and pond

It is not particularly hot today and we had 0.7 inches of rain last night. Nevertheless, these cattle are still going through the same routine as in the  very hot weather: into the pond, walk across to the shade tree, rest there, go back to the pond, and then continue back to the shade. It goes on like that all day and in the evening they go back to the barn.
Today they were visited by two egrets. They are not used to egrets and some of them chased the birds who flew about five yards and then came down to earth again. In the extra is a not very good shot, from a distance, of the egrets.
