Willersey Hill
I'm crazily late posting this evening, so I'll refrain from writing my usual screeds of rubbish. Suffice it to say that today has been busy, and less productive than I hoped it would be.
I had an appointment in Stow-on-the-Wold at lunchtime, and on the way back I needed to swing round via Broadway to pay the vet's bill for Arthur's home visit yesterday. En route I drove up to the Broadway Tower to see what the light was like there; and then into the Farncombe Estate on Willersey Hill to take some photos across the village. Willersey Hill is one of the edges of the Cotswold escarpment - so in effect I took this shot standing on the Cotswold scarp looking down into the Vale of Evesham. We're getting to the time of year when this is an effective place to go for sunset shots, but it was also quite nice to be there this afternoon, on one of the legendary but rare clear days when you can see most of the way to Wales.
Thanks for your kind thoughts yesterday about Arthur: I'm sorry to report that he is still giving us cause for concern today, and if his new drug regime doesn't improve his life in short order, the vet will have to be called out again. Right now, my instincts are that the situation is likely to deteriorate - but we shall see.
