Street sweeper

Where I live in Cairo the streets are swept by a man with a straw type broom (although it's not actually straw, I'm not sure what it is). They push tiny carts made of metal and or wood and reinforced plastic material that look like they've been around since the pyramids were constructed, and somehow some of the rubbish is swept away.

I'd wanted to take a photo of the old cart in the early morning sunshine but had left my phone at home, so this was the next best thing as the sweeper was filling it by the time I returned.

It's possibly not the cleanest of looking streets given it's in a posh suburb, but, well 'welcome to Egypt' as the locals would say.
