Nizwa Market
We have been given a National holiday of a whole week for Eid Al Adha so we drove last night to Nizwa and stayed in the Golden Tulip, getting up early to visit the busy market in the centre of Nizwa, the religious capital of Oman. This is a candid photograph of a group of Omani men, trying to do a deal for a very handsome goat.
We are now in Salalah the capital of the Dhofar region of Oman and it's not only foggy here it is raining and it is very lush and green it is also very, very beautiful. Hopefully some rare and colourful birds will feature in my Blip for the next couple of days, well that's the plan! The extra is of the sky that greeted us after our 1000km drive through the desert! Rather different from what we are used to in Muscat!
