Keeping watch

We've finally found a suitable home for our concrete owl.  He just needs some ivy growing up the stump.

We've employed a "man" to do some of the heavy work in the garden, and some of the tedious maintenance.  Just a couple of hours a week means we are really making progress.  We have another bed now to fill - trying to avoid spending lots of money on plants, we have grown some grasses from seed, but sadly the lavender we tried to grow from little plugs has not done well.  I feel a visit to a garden centre is likely over the next week or so.
