Small World

After finishing off the fungi records from yesterday, I drove over to Longshaw for a meeting about a new project we are planning for next Spring, which will be about focussing in on small things in the natural environment, and taking photographs. Prior to the meeting, I went into the woodland close to the main hub, and found still more Slime Moulds. These tiny organisms just look like a white coating on the wood to the naked eye. but close up are a bit like the myxomycete version of snowflakes. This one is called Ceratiomyxa fruticulosa.
