Hambledon Hill Fort
A wonderful walk which took in two Iron Age hill forts. Both afforded wonderful views of the rolling Dorset countryside.
The first was a steep climb up Hod hill which opened up into a substantial hill fort. However the second was even more impressive. I struggled to reflect the height and ditches in one photo.
The return journey allowed a quick detour to Golden Hill in Shaftesbury. The scene of the Hovis advert although Richard's rendition of the tune left a lot to the imagination! Further along was the Cerne Abbas Giant although it did need a fresh batch of chalk to highlight the outline.
