Hosta flower

I posted my first blip  on September 9, 2012 and was determined to post consecutively for a year.  I wasn't sure I could do it.  Four years later, I haven't missed a day.  It becomes a bit of an obsession, doesn't it?  "Official" blip counts backblips too when we're notified about "blipdays", but this is the one that is meaningful to me.   Since my first blip was a flower, I decided to post a flower today as well.  The flowers in my hanging baskets didn't fare well in the recent rain, so fortunately this hosta decided to send up another bloom.  First time I've had a hosta flower at this time of year.
Thanks to everyone who takes time to look at my blips, comment, and give stars and hearts.  I've learned so much about photography, thanks to all the encouragement I've received here and the opportunity to marvel at so many amazing photos.  I'd like more time to practice and explore and experiment, but hey, winter's not too far off and things will be slowing down.  In the meantime, I'll keep posting every day, whether I'm happy with my shot or think it could be so much better.  The challenge of coming up with at least one a day keeps me going.  :)
