Comedy & Curry

The Rotary Club's annual comedy & curry fundraiser tonight.

A buffet and then 4 comedians. The food was... mixed. The chicken and lamb curries were fine but the veggie one was grim. Bit tough on my vegan guest.

The comedians always have a tough time. They've had to cut the juiciest 50% from their material "because we're Rotarians". They were good, however.

We almost got booted out of Rotary after the event 2 years ago. The District Governor came along with his wife, and it turned out she'd neither heard of oral sex before nor did she think it was funny. Of course her husband got the joke well enough, and that may have been the problem.  

Well, the 100 tickets sold out at £20 each so we'll have raised over £1,000 for good causes.

Maybe we'll have enough left over to help the DG with the cost of that divorce...
