Kinsale to.....
....Killarney.
Today we woke up to traditional Irish weather, lashings of rain and wind to whisk you off the pavement.
We had an hour or so diving in and out of the shops in Kinsale hoping for the weather to lift a little but it never did so we got in the car and headed to Blarney castle. There is a stone you can kiss on the castle wall which will give you the gift of the gab apparently but we never made it inside the castle ruin as the rain was so heavy.
We waited and waited for the rain to ease but it wasn't to be so we headed for our final destination of the trip, Killarney.
Killarney is quite a big town on the edge of a beautiful national park so tomorrow I hope the weather is kinder for us to venture out, saying that as we dropped off the bags and walked into town for the evening the sun broke through the clouds.
I spotted this fine gent enjoying his pipe in the streets of Killarney waiting to go to dinner.
Extras today are of a typical Irish scene, two pubs next to each other in the pouring rain, another street scene which was going to be my blip and yet more live music in the evening.
