This evening I had a dentist appointment, which thankfully was just a routine check-up. On the way back, I decided to make a small detour. It was such a nice evening, still is, as I type this. I stopped for a while on the stretch of road that divides Pitsford reservoir, (also known as Pitsford Water) admired the view, the coolness of the air (what a relief), and the chattering Terns. I did a GCSE geography project on this place, back in the day, and proudly got a B. These days this reservoir is full - earlier in the year it was at dangerously low levels, and we have to be thankful. This image shows the north-eastern shores, not in any detail, but, you get the picture.
