A little soldier.....

This is all I've managed today  - I've taken lots of other shots of course but nothing I've considered keeping.  After shopping this morning I'd intended going off somewhere new to take photos, but in the end I just stayed home.

Usually when I see Soldier Beetles they're in pairs but this one was all on his own, and although I waited about a bit to see if another joined him I'm afraid it was a "no show".  There's a bit of an Autumnal nip in the air today and although it's a season I love, I don't enjoy the grey damp weather that often follows on.
